Here are your 606HL Three Stars of the Night for Days 40, 41 and 42:

FIRST STAR
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Zsd10
SHANE DOAN
(Nottingham Penguins)

Four goals. In one game. Legend.

SECOND STAR
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Ztz10
TRAVIS ZAJAC
(New York City Crunch)

Zajac posted two goals, three assists and a +5 rating in one game to help the Crunch to a big 7-1 win over the Victory.

THIRD STAR
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Zmsl10
MARTIN ST LOUIS
(Vancouver Schmucks)

Same totals as Zajac - 2-3-5 - posted over two games, helping the Schmucks to vault into the playoff spots for the first time in living memory.

Honorable mentions:
Jonathan Quick posted a 28-save shutout for KoC; besides Zajac, Claude Giroux, Michael del Zotto, Sean Avery and Paul Mara all posted +5 ratings; Thomas Vanek had 2 goals and 2 assists for the Schmucks.

Dishonorable mentions:
Ten teams played twice tonight - but only the Badgers won both games; 7 fights in one night - just what this league ordered! Draws for Zdeno Chara vs Dion Phaneuf, Greg Zanon vs Todd Bertuzzi, Patrice Bergeron vs Alex Semin, Bryan Allen vs Jarret Stoll and Ville Peltonen vs Mike Comrie; big wins for Matt Carkner against notorious wuss Joe Thornton, and Justin Williams vs James Wisniewski; three ejections tonight, including 2 against the Cups - Vaclav Prospal (Ducks), Maxim Lapierre (Beefs) and Drew Doughty (Schmucks) all suffered the shame of being booted out of their games.

Did you know?:
Mandy holds the bragging rights in the Homer household after tonight's games, after her Cups side beat the Commish's Beefs. cheers

Here are your 606HL Three Stars of the Night for Days 43, 44 and 45:

FIRST STAR
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Zmg11
MARIAN GABORIK
(Knights of Columbus)

In the night's most fascinating game, Gaborik scored the game's second hat-trick with the OT GWG as his KoC side beat the Forerunners 6-5.

SECOND STAR
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Zpb10
PATRICE BERGERON
(Forerunners)

A hat-trick and an assist in his side's losing effort against KoC - just not enough to get the 2pts though.

THIRD STAR
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Zsw11
STEPHEN WEISS
(Boston Shamrocks)

Weiss completes the Three Stars hat-trick scorers, as he posted one hattie plus a further goal for a four-goal night.

Honorable mentions:
Travis Zajac also scored a hat-trick for the Crunch, as the league saw its first-ever 4-hat-trick night; five teams played twice, with the Giraffes, Crunch and Shamrocks all picking up two wins; lots more high scoring, as David Krejci posted 4 assists for KoC in that 6-5 win over the Forerunners; Sheldon Souray notched four assists for the Crunch; the Giraffes got plenty of scoring - Jeff Carter had 3-2-5, Alex Semin had 2-3-5, and Nikolai Zherdev had 0-4-4; D-man Shea Weber scored two goals for the Monsters; Mike Richards had another strong night for the Rex with a goal, 2 assists and 25/35 FO wins.

Dishonorable mentions:
Injuries for Jonas Frogren (Bruised Left Foot) and a bad one for Ruslan Salei (Herniated Disc); Marc-Andre Bergeron was ejected for the Caps; James Wisniewski recovered from last night's loss to Justin Williams by holding onto Arron Asham for a draw; the Crunch's game against the Chops saw this mass brawl:

10:22 of 1st period - Paul Mara and Michael Ryder fight to a draw.
10:22 of 1st period - Penalty to Paul Mara for Fighting.
10:22 of 1st period - Penalty to Michael Ryder for Fighting.
10:22 of 1st period - Sean Avery and Niclas Havelid fight to a draw.
10:22 of 1st period - Penalty to Sean Avery for Fighting.
10:22 of 1st period - Penalty to Niclas Havelid for Fighting.
10:22 of 1st period - Travis Zajac and Patrik Berglund fight to a draw.
10:22 of 1st period - Penalty to Travis Zajac for Fighting.
10:22 of 1st period - Penalty to Patrik Berglund for Fighting.
10:22 of 1st period - Minor Penalty to Michael Del Zotto for High sticking.
10:22 of 1st period - Minor Penalty to Cory Murphy for Slashing.
10:22 of 1st period - Minor Penalty to Claude Giroux for Interference.
Did you know?:
That Forerunners vs KoC classic saw two hat-tricks and all four goalies in action. Quality entertainment Sleep

Oh, and it appears that Mike Cammalleri was the one who dodged the scrap above... Rolling Eyes

Here are your 606HL Three Stars of the Night for Days 46, 47 and 48:

FIRST STAR
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Zsw12
SHEA WEBER
(McGuire's Monsters)

Weber potted FOUR powerplay goals and TWO assists in ONE game to become just the second player - and first D-man - to notch a 6-point game in the 606HL, and the first D-man to score 4 goals in a game. Probably the greatest individual performance in the history of the 606HL to date cheers

SECOND STAR
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Zcp10
COREY PERRY
(New York City Crunch)

Perry scored the night's other hat-trick, added an assist and was a +5.

THIRD STAR
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Zss11
STEVEN STAMKOS
(DLMS)

Two goals, two assists, +3, 4 hits and a blocked shot - a great all-round effort from the talented youngster.

Honorable mentions:
Kari Lehtonen stopped 34/35 shots for the Penguins and is tonight's fourth star; all Cherrypickers were + players against KoC; the Monsters scored 5 goals on the Powerplay against the Sharks; Patrice Bergeron posted 2-3-5 but was -4 for the Forerunners; Zach Parise was the Aramis Shea Weber's Porthos, posting 1-4-5 in support of his teammate; Derek Roy posted 2-2-4 and +2 for the Caps; Bryan Allen and Brandon Dubinsky cuddled to a draw, but Craig Rivet was decked by Mike Commodore.

Dishonorable mentions:
Only the Ducks and Forerunners played twice - neither won a game; the Ducks have to get a Powerplay coach in pronto - they went 1/18 over their two games; the Forerunners went 1/10 against the Schmucks; Dave Bolland won just 6/22 faceoffs for the Schmucks; Matt Carkner of the Forerunners was suspended for 4 games as the 606HL Commissioner's Wheel of Injustice span again - Mikkel Boedker avoided any punishment for his ejection for the Chops.

Did you know?:
The Crunch's big win over the Victory was lopsided on the +/- sheet - Crunch players Corey Perry, Marc Savard, James Neal, Jeff Finger and Matt Carle were all +5s, while Victory players Bobby Ryan, Brian Cmapbell, Erik Johnson and Tim Connolly were all -4s. Antoine Vermette and Scott Hartnell were also -3s for the Victory.

Season Leaders:

7pts - Shea Weber
6pts - Drew Doughty
5pts - Mike Richards
4pts - Nicklas Backstrom, Ryan Miller, Mike Green, Patrice Bergeron
3pts - Dennis Wideman, Henrik Sedin, Ilya Bryzgalov, Jeff Carter, Marian Gaborik, Milan Michalek, Pavel Datsyuk, Rick Nash, Roberto Luongo, Ryan Kesler, Shane Doan, Zach Parise
2pts - Chris Osgood, Corey Perry, Denis Grebeshkov, Evgeni Malkin, Ilya Kovalchuk, Loui Eriksson, Steven Stamkos, Travis Zajac
1pt - Bobby Ryan, Chris Drury, Dany Heatley, Joe Thornton, Martin St Louis, Mike Fisher, Mikko Koivu, Ryan Getzlaf, Stephen Weiss, Vaclav Prospal

FIRST STAR
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Zdr10
DEREK ROY
(Watford Capitals)

Roy scored the night's only hat-trick and followed it up with a 2-assist game, giving him five points on the night.

SECOND STAR
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Zji10
JAROME IGINLA
(STEVENAGE BEEFS)

Iggy is warming up - three goals, an assist and a GWG as well. The Beefs could do with more offence in their rivalry games though...

THIRD STAR
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Zdd10
DREW DOUGHTY
(Vancouver Schmucks)

Four players had two-goal, two assist nights - Doughty, Bobby Ryan, Evgeni Malkin and Mark Stuart - but Doughty was one of two D men to do it, and of those two he was the only one to pot a GWG.

Honorable mentions:
Ten teams played twice - the Schmucks, Sharks and Badgers all won maximum points; as mentioned above, Mark Stuart, Bobby Ryan and Evgeni Malkin all scored 2-2-4; Nickla Lidstrom had 4 assists and a +5 rating for the Buttercups; 4-point nights for Martin St Louis, Paul Stastny, Wojtek Wolski, Mark Streit and Stephen Weiss; the Shamrocks scored 5/10 on the PP against the Pens.

Dishonorable mentions:
Three brawls tonight - the Schmucks vs the Rex, the Shamrocks vs KoC and the Spirit vs the Giraffes; fights included draws for Mike Richards vs Ryan Kesler, Jeff Woywitka vs Dan Hamhuis, Sean O'Donnell vs Lee Stempniak, Bryce Salvador vs Evgeni Artyukhin, Brendan Witt vs Dion Phaneuf and Marc Methot against brave Alex Semin. Steve Ott crushed Stev Mondator; Jack Hillen (Rex) and Marc Staal (KoC) were both given 3-game suspensions; other ejections were Sean O'Donnell (Buttercups), BJ Crombeen (Spirit), and Brent Seabrook (Cherrypickers), who has already posted 3 assists by the time of his ejection;

Did you know?:
All DLMS players were in the +...except for Francois Beauchemin.

Season Leaders:

7pts - Drew Doughty, Shea Weber
5pts - Mike Richards
4pts - Nicklas Backstrom, Ryan Miller, Mike Green, Patrice Bergeron

SECOND STAR
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Zas10
ALEX SEMIN
(Moose Jaw Giraffes)

Semin scored twice and added two assists as the Giraffes' top line came up big.

THIRD STAR

ANTERO NIITTYMAKI
(Vancouver Schmucks)

Niitymaki was perfect throughout 65 minutes, and stopped all 5 shots he faced in the shootout. Chris Osgood posted a shutout in the Spirit's loss.

Honorable mentions:
Four teams played twice - only the Schmucks won both games. One of those was a 1-0 shootout victory; Osgood stopped 30 shots over 65, but let in Alex Burrows' winning marker; Roberto Luongo had a 22-save shutout for the Chops; Lee Stempniak posted a hat-trick for the Caps against the Champs; lots of strong performances tonight - Brent Johnson stopped 37/38 for the Badgers; Brian Boucher stopped 37/38 for the Ducks; Giraffes Jeff Carter and Nikolai Zherdev both had 4-point nights; Henrik Zetterberg completed the 4-point nights for the Chops.

Dishonorable mentions:
Jeff Wojwitka picked up a nasty broken left foot for the Rex; Matt Greene was ejected, as was Chris Stewart; all Penguins players were - players in their 8-0 loss.

Did you know?:
Chris Stewart got what he deserved - he beat up Ryan Kesler and was ejected for his troubles Razz

Haven't seen anything from Azzy, to indicate why we haven't had any updates not that I expect them they were great while you had the chance. But I loved seeing this throughout the season it kept things interesting in the early parts and would probably be great right now. Maybe we could work out some way of sharing the load between the more active members and bringing this back to life?

Figured I'd have a go, so here is my first attempt at the 606HL Three Stars of the Week, for the week just ended:

1st: Patrick Marleau
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Marlea12
Swansea Sharks captain Marleau led by example with an incredible week, notching 14 assists and 18 points in total in just 8 games this week, with a +9 rating.

2nd: Matt Moulson
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Moulso11
The Sharks second line left winger outdid his top line counterpart Alex Ovechkin, with 7 goals and 11 points this week.

3rd: Patrick Kane
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Kane10
In a week where the Sharks went 6-1-1 and scored 40 goals, it's hard to look past their players here, but Patrick Kane deserves praise for his 12 point effort this week in 9 games for the Fumblesaurus Rex, during which he did not take any penalties.

Honourable Mentions:
Also instrumental in the Sharks' fantastic week was veteran Teemu Selanne, who racked up 10 points in 8 games.
Ryan Getzlaf, of the McBuck Cherrypickers, helped lead his team to a 4-0 win over the Boston Shamrocks with a Gordie Howe hat trick.
Along with the shutout of the Shamrocks, McBuck goaltender Tomas Vokoun also managed a mammoth 52 save effort to give the Sharks their only regulation loss of the week. And despite losing his place in net to Johan Hedberg after a 16-21 performance, Vokoun roared back with a 15-15 effort in relief of Hedberg against the Monsters.
Other shutouts came this week from Chatham Victory's Josh Harding and Fairytale Buttercups goalie Scott Clemmensen.
There were four hat tricks this week, courtesy of David Backes of the St Louis Spirit, Lee Stempniak of the Watford Capitals, Wojtek Wolski of the Nottingham Penguins and Alex Ovechkin of the Sharks.
Amidst the large number of fights during the week, one stood out above the crowd, as Fumblesaurus Rex center Jarret Stoll gave Sidney Crosby a lesson with the gloves off.
One man determined to get his team going this week was Ruslan Salei, who fought three times in one game for the Forerunners, drawing fights with Stoll, Hillen and Richards in a 4-2 win over the Rex.

Dishonourable Mentions:
Forerunners goaltender Mikael Tellqvist didn't have the best outing against the streaking Sharks, saving 7 of 10 shots faced in relief of Evgeni Nabokov, before being pulled himself in the second period.
But Tellqvist was outdone by Jonathan Quick, who saved just 2 of 5 shots in a little over 12 minutes before returning to the bench for the Knights of Columbus; the young netminder also fell victim of the Sharks.
Knights of Columbus forward Ryan Malone took their rivalry with the Spirit to the next level, getting himself ejected for headbutting.
Sharks d-man Chris Phillips lasted just 21 seconds against the Capitals before being ejected.
After temporarily taking over the starter job in net for the Cherrypickers, Johan Hedberg allowed Tomas Vokoun to retake his place in a more unorthodox way - he was ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct (Vokoun saved all 15 shots faced in relief).
Badgers blue-liner Zach Bogosian was suspended one game for checking from behind.
But of the 7 ejections, Dion Phaneuf's was apparently the worst. The Giraffes' star defensemen said something very rude to the officials and was banished from the ice, earning himself a 3-game suspension. Rumour has it the official made reference to "sloppy" play from the Giraffes "second" line, but Phaneuf misunderstood.
There were 3 brawls this week. The Sharks and Cherrypickers rivalry spilled over as Steve Bernier beat up Cam Barker. Ryan Malone had to answer for his headbutt, fighting David Backes after just four seconds in the KoC-Spirit rematch, before the two fought again in a 3-fight brawl. And Mike Commodore beat up Paul Mara in the Ducks-Crunch brawl.

And Finally...
Well done to the Boston Shamrocks, who managed to get 14 of their 18 skaters on the scoreboard in their 9-4 rout of Duck a l'orange.
And Kevin Bieksa and Brad Stuart shared an interesting acheivement this week; the two d-men both managed to take five different minor penalties in a single game.

My Three Stars of the Week this week are:
1st: Stephen Weiss
606HL Three Stars - Page 3 Weiss10
Stephen Weiss had 18 points in just 8 games this week, helping the Boston Shamrock's to a 3-point lead atop the 606HL, and giving himself an 11-point league lead in points.

2nd: Ilya Kovalchuk

The Russian winger managed two hat tricks this week, against the Iowa Chops and the Mogilny Conference-leading Knights of Columbus, and totalled 8 goals and 15 points in 6 games for the Duck a l'orange.

3rd: Mark Streit

The Shamrock's were led to a 5-1-2 week by captain Mark Streit who, with 15 points, moved to second in the league in assists and now leads all defensemen in points, whilst managing to take no penalties all week.
Honourable Mentions:
Wojtek Wolski ran the three stars closest this week, with 4 goals and 6 assists for 10 points in 6 games for the Nottingham Penguins with a +2 rating.
Despite a 6-inch height difference and a 34-pound weight difference, Cherrypickers d-man Brent Seabrook managed to beat up Forerunners captain Zdeno Chara, though the giant would later go on to score in a 3-0 victory for his team.
In the fight-filled Crunch-Chops game this week, Sheldon Souray not only managed two assists, but also two fight wins, first beating up Jay McClement, before humiliating Sidney Crosby.
Despite not starting the game, Forerunners' backup goaltender Karri Ramo was awarded the 1st star in their game against the Masons Marauders, saving all 17 shots he faced in relief of Antero Niittymaki to lead his team to a 5-3 win.
Whilst Ilya Kovalchuk managed two hat tricks, and Stephen Weiss got one, their were also triples for the Cherrypickers' Ryan Getzlaf and Ryan Kesler of the Marauders in the same game, Zach Parise of the Monsters and Rick Nash of the Bearded Badgers.
There were also Gordie Howe hat tricks aplenty this week, for Bryan McCabe of the St.Louis Spirit, and, in the same spicy encounter, Sharks d-man Mark Stuart and Rex captain Mike Richards.
There were four shutouts this week - for Mikael Tellqvist of the Forerunners, Pekka Rinne of the Surprise, Cherrypickers' Tomas Vokoun, and most impressively, saving 26 of 26, Nottingham Penguins goalie Kari Lehtonen.

Dishonourable Mentions:
It was something of a nightmare week for New York City Crunch goaltender Niklas Backstrom, as the Fin was pulled in 4 of the 6 games he started for the Crunch. He finished with a SV% of .846 and a GAA of 4.89. Sympathy goes to backup netminder Ty Conklin who wasn't given the start in any of the Crunch's games despite saving 40 of 42 shots faced over the 4 games in which he relieved Backstrom.
There were problems for other goalies too this week. Cherrypickers goalie Johan Hedberg was given his marching orders for the second time in as many weeks for unsportsmanlike conduct; and Cam Ward was only in net for just under 5 minutes of the Bearded Badgers' 3-1 win over the Buttercups as he was also ejected for unsportsmanlik conduct and slapped with a one-match ban.
The two other suspensions in the week went to Dany Heatley - one game for starting a brawl in the Beefs-Chops game - and Corey Perry was given a three-game ban for instigating, as the winger, clearly not satisfied with suffering one beating from Mike Green, started a second brawl in the Crunch-Chops game and was soundly beaten by Devin Setoguchi; not doing his reputation much good.
And usual league good-boy Pavel Datsyuk was ejected from the Duck a l'orange game against Dr.Lovestink's Meat Surprise for checking from behind.
There were 6 brawls across 4 games in total this week; the Iowa Chops featuring most prominently, with one against the Stevenage Beefs and two against the Crunch. The Shamrock's and Penguins had a three-fight brawl, and the Rex and Sharks showed their disdain with 2 brawls, with the Sharks seeming to have the slight edge with the gloves off.

And Finally...
The Beefs and Surprise set a new record this week with 10 hooking calls in a single game. The Surprise had 7 of them, with Chris Pronger top-scoring with 3 of the penalties.
