The future of 606HL
With the final about halfway through I thought it was time to address the future of the sim. This season I noticed quite a drop in lines being sent in. Now I understand that if no injuries come up and your team is doing as you expect you may not want/need changes however many teams I received no lines at all and had to auto them.
This thread was really to see who is still interested in the sim and if it is worth carrying on. I don't want to let it die but it doesn't seem worth carrying on if there are only 4-5 active members. If we have just 8 members still active then we could look at doing 2 teams per person.
If you are still interested in carrying on, please post in this thread along with any thoughts you have on the sim that you want to express.

Re: The future of 606HL
I want the sim to continue, and if it means having two teams then thats fine.
One option may be to advertise the league and recruit new members. There is a place on the Simon T Hockey forum where we can do this http://sths.simont.info/Forum/
Im also happy to be more involved in helping out with running stuff if its needed.

Re: The future of 606HL
I would want the league to continue - I am probably one of the ones guilty of not sending lines often
I am happy to have a second team to destroy, ahem, manage if that is what is needed. Beef - do you need me to get some prospects sorted?

Re: The future of 606HL
Being one of the more regular contributors in the community I would obviously love for the sim to continue. Although my life is a heck of a lot busier now than it was in the old 606 days I still try to get on here frequently.
I'm not fond of the two teams per GM idea for a whole load of reasons. I would prefer trying to recruit some new members as well as get some of the old timers back. I guess we have become quite insular. If we got more chat going on the forum there would be more reason for people to visit rather than just the sim and that could help keep people interested.

I would want it to carry on but I agree with others. Wouldn't want 2 teams

Re: The future of 606HL
I'm still interested but it has been a total disaster season. I think I made about 3-4 line changes and each time nothing changed so I kind of threw in the towel on this season.
Re: The future of 606HL
Happy to continue and don't mind taking on an extra team even if it is just for coaching.

Re: The future of 606HL
Leafy, that would be great if you could get started on prospects. I will have a look at what we can do in the mean time and see what is needed to get the sim where it needs to be.
Re: The future of 606HL
Definitely still interested. Things at work are still hectic so i'm not sure if I will have much time for the general day to day malarkey, but I will make more of an effort with my lines.
Homer, if you could drop a copy of the client server into my inbox, I will endeavour over the next week to get things up and running on our new laptop.
Many Thanks

Been away for a week or so now, but would like to continue, wasn't active this past season due to a number of different reasons, but would like to carry on, but with just my team (for my sins)

Re: The future of 606HL
Sorry Driz just saw your post. Did you still need me to send it over?
So looks like we have 12 people still interested which leaves 4 empty teams. Do any of you guys know anyone else who would be interested?
I will aim to get re-rates done this week. Leafy are you still ok to do some prospect ratings for me?
Once we have figured out a couple of things I will get on with organising the off season.

Ok so at present I have the following GM's committed
Stevenage Beefs
Fairytale Buttercups
Colombia Steves
MK Giraffes
Chatham Victory
Scarabs
Bearded Badgers
Bedford Brewers
Boston Shamrocks
The Ant Hill Mob
Derby Ice Dogs
And as it stands, unless I hear otherwise, the following are available to new GM's.
Fumblesaurus Rex
McBuck Cherrypickers
Sheffield Chops
New York City Crunch

I will put a post on the STHS forum as you guys suggested and we will go from there!

I'm surprised to see the Cherrypickers and the Sharks on that list

Re: The future of 606HL
Me too but this post has been up 3 weeks and neither have posted. I have just heard back from Marc and he wants to continue also so that brings it down to 4.
Re: The future of 606HL
Have we tried contacting some of the oldies like Monty, Ronnie, Rocker, Colonel, Beanos, Joga, Gunner, Badger, DevilMatt etc? And I think we would all agree it is about time CJ took up the challenge.

Monty is out, I spoke to him about it earlier. Gunner wont be interested, I have tried to get him in on it before. As for the others I will try to make contact. Rocker is the one who just left the Cherrypickers so not sure if he will be back.
Has anyone heard from colonel? I haven't had anything since he went awol a while back haha.
