Beefs hopeful for 5 in a row
The Beefs have had a 4 game winning streak 3 times already this season however they have been stopped at 4 each time. Currently on a 4 game streak they look to break that duck and extend the streak tonight against their biggest challenge for the divisional title.
This will be the first of 6 meetings between the Beefs and Badgers and it promises to be an epic game with the both teams in the top 3 point wise in the league. The Badgers have slumped a little in the last few games however they have still managed to pick up points in 7 straight games going 4-0-3 so they will be anything but a pushover. Statistically the two teams are evenly matched with the Badgers owning the edge in goals scored (56 to 46) and the Beefs owning the edge defensively (33 against to 40). Both teams have been very strong against Division 5 opponents with the Badgers going 5-1-1 and the Beefs 6-0-1 so this one is not to be missed.
After this matchup the Beefs travel to Sunderland to face another divisional foe in the Avs. Like the Badgers the Avs have yet to play the Beefs and this one could be equally huge. The Avs are currently last in the division with a modest 6-5-2 record however playing in the toughest division in the league makes moving up very difficult. In divisions 1 and 4 they would have enough points for 3rd and are currently on a 4-1-1 run after making some very big trades that saw them bring in scorers Heatley and Ryan. Make no mistake this game will not be a walkover and could easily be overlooked thanks to their position in the standings.
Tune in tomorrow for results and to find out if the Beefs can hang on to their top spot in the league.
