Beefs knocked out in 6, Baby Beefs force game 7
After dropping to 3-0 on the series, the Beefs mounted a spirited comeback to force a game 6 and with the way they were playing there was a growing belief that they could force a game 7. The Shamrocks had other ideas as penalty problems gave the Shamrocks too many powerplays as they stormed out to a 5-3 win.
GM Homer called the season a success despite the defeat as the Beefs won their first division title and managed to see off the rival Victory in the first round. The season showed progress and the Beefs expect to be back bigger and stronger next year as they look for a second title.
The Baby Beefs have had a tougher time than they expected thus far in the playoffs being taken to 7 games in round one and now needing a win in game 6 to force another game 7. A 2nd shutout from Kipper ensured the Baby Beefs did not follow their pro counterparts to the golf course as RNH, Huskins and Skinner all scored 3.30 apart in the third to break the 0-0 tie and send the series back to Bedwell. Every member of the team will need to be on top form tonight as the Banshees have proven they are not to be taken lightly and keeping Brunnstrom quiet is key. With a fully healthy D core the Baby Beefs have all they need to do it they just need to step up and send themselves back to the final if they want a shot at revenge against the team that defeated them 2 seasons ago.
