Baby Beefs split first 2 games

Against the Dinosaurs the Baby Beefs were hoping to at least split the first 2 road games and gain home ice advantage and they did just that. Both teams came away with 4-1 victories, the Baby Beefs in game 1 and the Dinosaurs in game 2. Kiprusoff was strong in both games but in game 2 he was peppered as the team in front of him showed a few signs of wear from two 7 game series. They came out fairly well in game 2 with the game tied at 1-1 but the Dinosaurs outshot them 33-14 over the final 40 mins.

The Baby Beefs would rather focus on the positives from game 1 however as they dominated the second period to take a 3-0 lead on the back of a pair of goals from Skinner with RNH adding one of his own.

Now with a best of 5 series the Baby Beefs will need to shake off any aches and not let this run to the final end in disappointment as it did 2 seasons ago.

Its going to be a close series!

We need to stop taking so many penalties though. 9 PK's in game 1 and 8 in game 2. We can't expect to win if we play a third of the game a man down. The annoying thing is, the guy taking all the penalties is also my leading scorer. Otherwise i would bench him!

haha yeah but so far my PP hasn't been great, 1 goal in 17 attempts is pretty piss poor.
