Baby Beefs take huge win in game 1

Andrej Sekera has been the Baby Beefs best player for 2 seasons now scoring a huge 84 points in the regular season which included 33 goals, 24 of which were on the powerplay.

He showed that class again last night scoring the game winner on the powerplay with 6.31 to play in the third. He also scored the games first goal in the first period to help the Beefs to a 3-2 upset over the Canards.

The shots were extremely lopsided with the Baby Beefs outshooting their opponents 36-14 as they came out absolutely flying. Howard was but for the Canards stopping 33 of the 36 shots but he just fell short thanks to the lack of offence the other way.

Trevor Smith also scored on the PP and 6 different players recorded assists. The Baby Beefs will look to take a commanding 2-0 lead back home with them tonight as they face off for game 2.
