How did Crosby get on there when he hasn't even played a game

Selanne for captain!
The rest of the Ducks can have a pass for this season....

Re: All Star voting open!
I was going to post about it a few days ago - then I looked at the Blues nominees.
Pietroangelo - I am very happy with this choice, I think 'Pie' will be an all-star many times over...
Backes - well I suppose he is our Captain and was an all star last season. Having said that, this season he has hardly been inspirational.
Halak - Halak!!!!. I can't believe we put him up for nomination - unless it wss for a joke. The man has been awful. If you look at the top netminders so far this season, Elliott is right up there with them. I really feel for the man - he deserves the call.
Shattenkirk - How 'Shats' has missed out, is beyond me. He has been our stand out player so far this season. He should have been nominated ahead of Backes.

I think it's more about "Star factor" and last season's performance, Driz. Selanne aside, the other Ducks on the list have been distinctly average so far this year but when you consider what they did in the past they're no-brainers to make the shortlist.

Re: All Star voting open!
I agree with Ronnie, most of it is with past performances or 'early season surprises' as to explain why Souray is there. Ribeiro doesn't deserve to be there on this years play so far but he has been excellent for us over the past few years.
Re: All Star voting open!
Dats and Zetterberg have been almost AWOL as far as their past standards go, but they're up there for nomination.
Franzen (16 points from 16 games) and Filpulla (13 points from 16 games) are missing.
I think I might vote for Crosby...

Have they decided how the teams will be picked this year? I would vote for Kessel so we can continue the annual tradition of picking him last Although to be fair, he deserves to be there this year.

Hmm, not a Russian amongst them, although I would have voted for Kulikov of the Panthers if he was (blooming well should be) on the list. Was also tempted to have Carter-Connolly-Crosby if only to see if any would be fit come All Star time!
