Lets speculate anyway, it's what we are best at!
Why would Montreal want him Zee? They got Price who might as well be Louis XIV to their fans.
He will go to who can afford him against their cap, which isn't many. If Brodeur retires then maybe NJ. Tampa might be an option. Winnipeg maybe. That is it in the East. In the West Phoenix, Colorado, Edmonton and Columbus would be improved by Luongo.

If speculating, I would actually like to see him in Toronto. He has all we need - he's a veteran, he's quite good, he plays the butterfly, and most importantly, he's not bloody American.
I don't think the Avs would go for him, not after they paid such a hefty price for Varly, and have Giggy as a suitable vet. Columbus is a possibility, maybe the Nash trade is back on?

Luongo in Toronto would be like an ice cream cone in a volcano!

He would do very well in Toronto without the added presure of playoff hockey.

Im sure the Vancouver management will have a list of places not to trsde him to - like divisional/ western play-off rivals.
Apart from that, he could conceivably end up going anywhere.

Leafy, the report I saw denied was that he had submitted a list of teams he would accept a trade to.
It's right there in the article, and in the video.
And buf, I said Montreal cause they have a habit of taking on bad contracts.
"Yeah, of course, if they ask me to," Luongo said of waiving his no-trade while the team cleaned out the locker room

Of course he hasn't waived it yet.....he hasn't been asked. He just said he would if asked.
In any case the deal has already been done hasn't it Jonzee.....
Luongo for Bryz + Giroux

My first thought was he'd go to to New Jersey if Brodeur retires.
My second thought was "dear god, not Toronto. It will kill him".

Surely the biggest roadblock to a Toronto swoop is Burke? He principally disagrees with the sort of contract Luongo is on because it morally circumvents the CBA.

In that thumbnail with the play button on he looks like Drew Bledsoe when being interviewed about losing the starting job to Tom Brady.

Hang on a minute, something has just occured to me. Bobby Lou is contracted to the Spirit organisation. Therefore, I decide if he goes and where he's going to...nobody else.
Mind you, if the owner of Bryz has also got Claude...then I could be tempted

As per @tsnjamesduthie Sources say R. Luongo will submit short list of teams he'd waive no-trade to go to next week. Leafs will be on it.
Looks like you will have a new goalie next year, Buf!

The Leafs will one day realise that it's not always the Goalie that needs replacing to get a decent team. Sometimes, other players may need replacing too...
