I bet it is a Toronto goalie! LOL
Original 6 days huh? I think I'll struggle with that one.
Montreal had a goalie called Hansworth, but he was well known for being really good, rather than the unwatned records.

I think we need a time limit on this one lol! I say if this isn't answered by say 1pm then could Pete post a different question.
I must say well done on the first question to completely stump the board!

Having had a right good root around, the worst I can find is...Ron Low of the 1974-75 Washington Capitals. In 48 games he conceded 235 goals with a GAA of 5.45.

That sounds fair rocknroll. I have already looked it up (I admitted defeat to Pete last night!) and I can tell you it still took me a little while to find the damn answer

Indeed it was McAuley but not sure why they have TOR next to it as he only played for the Rangers...

Either way I think that gives it to you rocknroll!

Maybe they too expected it to be a Leafs goalie...
In the 1974-75 season, which team recorded just 21 points, and NHL record to this day for least points in a season? For extra merit how many wins did they notch, and how many of them were on the road?

I'm saying Buffalo with 7 wins, 2 away from home.

I'm pretty sure it was the Caps (first season if I remember right). Number of wins are a total guess but I am gonna say 6 with 2 road wins?
Re: Resurrection of the great 606 Quizzes.....well kind of.
Caps is correct. Give that man a goldfish.
Washington Capitals first season after the expansion draft. 21 points.
8 wins in total, with just 1 on the road.

They had some cracking stats that year. Conceded well over 400 goals, both netminders finsished with GAA'S of over 5.
Both netminders must have been shaking like Vietnam war vets...

Re: Resurrection of the great 606 Quizzes.....well kind of.
Damnit I had a really good question lined up last night and I have forgotten what it was.......gimme a sec lol
Re: Resurrection of the great 606 Quizzes.....well kind of.
Right ok here we go.
The fewest number of penalties in a 7 game playoff series was 19 while the highest number was 218 (654PIM).
Which teams were involved in these 2 series and what year?

Dammit I knew the last Q. This one I would say... mix of Habs Boston Flyers will be involved in the highest PIMs in the 80s and Leafs Blues lowest in the 70s?

You have one team right there Buff but I will not say which Also one of the year periods was right the other wasn't.
Re: Resurrection of the great 606 Quizzes.....well kind of.
Highest - Bruins & Rangers in the '70s?
Lowest - Kings & Oilers in the '90s?
OK, I admit it. I haven't got a clue

Re: Resurrection of the great 606 Quizzes.....well kind of.
OK well I am going to stick with Leafs for fewest penalties since bar Domi and Tiger Williams we have never been prolific. I still think this is old school so our most common play-off series is against the Wings so I will have a go with that. In terms of decade perhaps the 30s?
I will also stick with the 80s as highest PIMs because well hockey was brutal back then! With no Flyers Habs Bruins or Blues to choose between I am a little stuck in terms of teams so will go with Penguins and Devils?
So to summarise:
fewest PIMS: Leafs vs Wings in the 1930s
most PIMs: Pens vs Devils in the 1980s

I'm thinking lowest - Tampa Bay vs Flames in early 2000's (was it 2004?)
then highest - Wings vs Habs in the 1950s.
then highest - Wings vs Habs in the 1950s.
