I am pleased to announce though, Homer, you sir are correct. 2007-08 if I remember right, Mr Souray managed 19 pp goals.

Bobby Orr.

I've decided to use my sister's tactic for playing Trivial Pursuit and just have the same answer for every question on the premise that one day it will be correct.
(She always answered Rudyard Kipling for any question where she didn't know the answer. It made the sports round very entertaining) Very Happy

Leetch. I bet it's him.

Why do I not think of these obvious players? As soon as someone else says it, then I think OF COURSE IT IS!

Shame, cos I've got a cracking question lined up. Just need someone to ask one I know the answer to first!

Indeed it was Mr Leetch who put away 23 goals in the 88-89 season narrowly beating Barry Beck (what a great name) who had 22 in the 77-78 season.

Oh, I think I know this - didn't the 1999 Stanley Cup end in an OT goal? Was it that? Hatcher scored an OT goal to lift the Cup?

Wasn't it that Hatcher was first player born outside of Canada to captain a team to the Cup (since 1938) but that guy (forget his name) was born in Russia but considered Canadian or something.

Beef is correct. Hatcher was the first non-Canadian Stanley cup winning captain since 1938.

In fact there are just 4 in Stanley Cup history, only Hatcher, Lidstrom, the Russian guy (who's name I forget) and a goalie who moved from Edinburgh when he was a kid, but was technically Scottish, since 1927.

Three Europeans, one American, and everyone else was Canadian. Your go Beef. Mullet question?
