The Blackhawks thing really threw me, as I don't think of Esposito as a Chicago player, but as a Bruins player.
OK, Nick Lidstrom was the Stanley Cup winning captain in 2008. Which Stanley Cup and NHL first did he achieve with this win?

Has it something to do with his upbringing?. Is he the first to miss playing either college/junior or ahl hockey in USA/Canada ?

Re: Resurrection of the great 606 Quizzes.....well kind of.
Was it something referring to a previous win? I know he didn't win the Conn Smythe that year but he has won one in the past so first European to win both Conn Smythe and Stanley Cup as captain?
Re: Resurrection of the great 606 Quizzes.....well kind of.
Well done Driz. He was the first European born and trained Stanley Cup Winning Captain. He never played junior hockey or affiliate hockey in North America.

I have to admit, I did google him. Having looked down his stats etc, it was the only thing that stood out. I coudln't find any junior hockey stats.
As a side question and for my own curiosity, does this happen often? How did he make the draft list?. I ask this because I saw he was drafted 3rd round, pick 57!!!

I don't know if he still holds it but I am sure Sheldon Souray had it at one point before he became crap.
Re: Resurrection of the great 606 Quizzes.....well kind of.
Oi Buff, stop looking at my answers. I was going to say Bobby Orr.
Hope you've got that taxi ready for Friday night (I have such a bad feeling about the game)
