Keith returns to the Beefs!

The biggest news for the Beefs in the few days running up to the trade deadline was the return of Duncan Keith. The Beefs had to give up top end prospects Jamie Benn and David Rundblad to make it happen along with a conditional 2nd round pick that could turn into a 1st.

Last night Keith played his first 2 games and was instrumental in the Beefs turn around. Up until the trade was made the Beefs were on a 4 game losing streak and were sitting on a 3-6-2 run. He got an assist on Nugent-Hopkins game tying goal in his first game then scored both the first goal and the game winner in the second game to complete a home and home sweep against the Bedford Brewers.

No time to celebrate yet though as the games do not get any easier. The beefs play 2 of their next 3 against the conference leading Chatham Victory who sit 8 pts ahead of the Beefs. With 3 games in hand the Beefs can still catch the Victory with 2 strong games in the coming days.

On the injury front, Michael Vernace is still a few days away from returning and in the last game Andrei Markov left the game with an injury and is likely out a week or so meaning Keith will need to pick up the slack over the next few games. Toby Petersen also received a major injury for the Baby Beefs and will be out for a month.

Keith has got to be one of the most traded players in 606 HL history! No matter where he is though, he always picks up points.

I think it is fair to say that Keith is one of the top 5 D men in sim history. Damn you Beef for getting him back

I would like to question his sanity, he traded Jamie Benn

Standard. He can of course get his own back in the rematch tonight. It seems as though I am only playing the Beefs, Rex and Shamrocks from now until the end of the season

Hahaha I see, 3 games back to back against the Rex. Almost like the Stars playing back to back to back against the Ducks!

I got 3 in 4 against the Cherrypickers but finish the season against the Rex.
