Flames come out on top in O'Reilly Saga?
Ooops
in a fortunate turn of events, it seems Calgary dodged a bullet when Colorado decided to match the offer sheet signed by O'Reilly yesterday.
I thought this stuff only happened to the Islanders!

Jonzee called the Kings, Flyers West so maybe the Flames are Islanders West?

Talking of Flames, Down Goes Brown revealed the Flames two step plan they started on.
Step 1: Acquire McGratton to look after the teams star players
Up next, step 2: Acquire good players.

I'm happy the Avs matched, Feaster called ROR a franchise player, now admittedly he would instantly become the best C to play for the Flames for 10 or so years but he's no franchise player.
I'd rather keep our 1st rounder, which is likely to be high.
And beef, what's it like being dominated by the Islanders west this season?

Apparently if we signed him he would of had to go through waivers! Seriously, what on earth is Feaster doing?

No I saw it on TSN early this morning, and hadn't looked at it properly until a moment ago.
I think other teams should help Iginla get a cup by sending their best players to us. If you had any respect for Iggy you would trade us Benn.

Jerome Iginla's face when he retires without a Cup will possibly be the saddest thing anyone will ever see.
Even sadder than watching a kitten get shaved.
