Ovechkin to Flames? (e2)

According to sources within the Washington Capitals organisation, the Calgary Flames are willing to part with D Jay Bouwmeester, G Mikka Kiprusoff, a 5th round pick to obtain the services of LW Alexander Ovechkin. Remember, you heard it here first!

Saw the title and got really excited. (e2) is Eklund so whatever...

It makes no sense to do this trade. Im a big Ovechkin fan but he doesn't replace the holes Bouw and Kipper will create. If it was Iginla and Bouw them it makes more sense. Unless we have some other trade involving a top D and a starting goalie it won't work.

I can see Kipper being good for the Caps though, especially with the potential Holtby has shown.

As stupid as the trade would be, i would do it! Put him on the LW and have an Ovi - Cammi - Iggy line! Sign Hasek and get Lidstrom out of retirement. Then sign Lucic to beat up anyone who doesn't like my ideas Twisted Evil
