Baby Beefs win regular season title!
With last nights crushing win over the Pigs the Baby Beefs secured both the conference title and league title for the regular season. With 124 points they stand 18 points clear of the Leprechauns and are still showing no signs of slowing down.
Oscar Moller has been his usual self but over the last few games Jamie Benn has suddenly exploded offensively. The young forward has put up 11 points in the last 7 games including two 3 point nights. This run puts him 5th on the team for goals with 21 and has fans now starting to feel he could reach his potential. Last night also saw Moller top the 100 point mark as he now sits on 49 goals and 52 assists and a mammoth +46 rating. GM Homer will surely have to find room for the young centre on the big team before long.
Now with the team closing in on the playoffs attention turns to who they will be playing. At the moment it looks like the Beefs will face the Deamon Ducklings in the first round. This is a franchise the Beefs know very well as they met in the playoffs both seasons 1 and 2 so there is plenty of history there. Last season the Ducklings didn't make the playoffs but they are now back in and would likely love the opportunity to knock out the number 1 team in the league. So far the Baby Beefs have a 5-1-0 record against the Ducklings so the season stands on their side but as we all know that the playoffs are a whole different animal.

I think you should rest your top guys for the next couple of games. you want them to be well rested before the playoffs.
