Regular Season Review
The Colombia Steves are Division champions for the third consecutive season. After a tough season long battle with the New York City Crunch, the Steves have emerged victorious. The Steves are looking forward to their inevitable 1st round elimination.
The Brian Dinosaurs have once again clinched the Division, Conference and League titles. The Dinosaurs have made the playoff finals in each of the last two seasons, winning the title in season 5. The Dinosaurs are again looking to make the finals, and hope they meet the Baby Beef so they can punish them for ending their record winning streak.
At the half way point of the season the Steves were in a tight 3 way battle with the Crunch and the Sharks, while the Dinosaurs were holding on to the final playoff spot in the KFC conference. GM J-Iggy made the tough decision to send six rookies down from the pros to the farm. We were hoping these six players would help the development of the other rookies around them. This certainly worked and the Dinosaurs set off on the league’s longest ever winning streak and posted a record of 47-1-0 for the last 48 games. The Dinosaurs climbed their way to the top of the standings just edging out the Sharks and scoring over 400 goals along the way.
Many expected the Steves to struggle after the roster changes. Instead, the vets all took on the responsibility and increased ice time and the Steves finished the season strong. They will not be considered contenders for the Playoff title, but they are capable of causing an upset if the team performs at their best, and if Jeff Carter can reproduce his performance from last season’s playoff run.
