Okposo trade sparks success after 5 game losing streak. Empty Okposo trade sparks success after 5 game losing streak.

After an almost perfect pre-season the Shamrocks were inconsistent at best throughout the first week of season 4. However that inconsistently quickly turned to a 5 game losing streak which had the Shamrocks sitting at the bottom of the 606hl. Many were suggesting the problems stemmed from the lack of chemistry after the team was extensively re-build over the off-season. The rebuild continued into the pre-season and regular season with moves still coming in the early parts of the season. It could be that with so many changes of personnel the team was struggling to find it's identity. Then after an inconsistent start when the going got tough the team didn't have the resilience it had in the past to turn close games into wins.

Things are beginning to look up the Shamrocks have followed that 5 game losing streak with a 7-1-0 record throughout the last 8. While the constant changes throughout the off-season and beginning of the season clearly had an effect on the team. It was yet another move for young star Kyle Okposo that seemed to spark the Bruins recent play. After being limited to farm play with the Knights, Okposo has exploded with the Shamrocks contributing 6 goals and 3 assists, scoring a point per-game since he joined. Okposo has clearly strengthened the Shamrocks main weakness on the second line and is being touted as the final piece of the puzzle for the new look Shamrocks. Alongside the new look D and 2nd line the Shamrocks are hoping to make the play-offs as they have done in every season so far. It will perhaps be the most difficult year with division rivals playing stronger than ever but if the current form continues the Shamrocks should return to the top half of the league.
