The streak continues Empty The streak continues

Post by Paddywan Tue Dec 20, 2011 1:51 pm

The Shamrocks continue racking up the wins to help them climb up the 606HL standings after their poor start to the season. They have won the last 8 in a row getting past divisional rivals and the league leading Beefs in convincing fashion. The 8 game win streak is the longest recorded for the franchise. However it still hasn't moved the Shamrocks back into a play-off spot. Perhaps due to the extent of their early season troubles but also the increased competition within the league in year 4. The Shamrocks have achieved a significant shift up the divisional rankings, moving into second but even with two games in hand there is an 8 point gap between the Shamrocks and Chops.

Meanwhile the Leprechauns haven't been so lucky they have struggled much like the pro team and due to suspensions to Stephen Weiss and Travis Zajac they have missed key players at important times so far this season. Thankfully the farm standings are much more forgiving than the pro situation and by taking full advantage of their games in hand the Leprechauns should ease back into the play-off picture.
