Baby Beefs take first series lead
The regular season record may have heavily favoured the Baby Beefs but the first round series with the Pirates has been anything but straight forward. The Baby Beefs got absolutely taken apart in games 1 and 2 both on the scoreboard and in the physicality of the game. Leading scorer Oscar Moller was no where to be seen and both goalies look like they had forgotten they were supposed to stop the puck, not just stare at it admirably as it sails past them.
A swift kick up the backside from the coach before game 3 however and the team has woken up. Oscar Moller has put up points in the 3 games since and Cujo has looked mroe like the goalie that stopped the Baby Beefs in the conference finals last year when he was a member of the Binghamton Bilos, allowing just 2 goals in the last 3 games.
This change in play has meant the Baby Beefs have overcome a 2-0 deficit and go into tonights game knowing that if they can win again then they book themselves into a repeat of last years conference final.
Homer is not counting his chickens (or cows) just yet however as this series is far from over. "We know the Pirates have the ability to trip us up." Said Homer. "They proved this in games 1 and 2 and aside from game 4 our other wins could have gone either way. We fully expect tonight to be a battle and have to be ready for whatever they throw our direction".

Tell me about it! I was having kittens just waiting for the sim to give me the results. If it gave me the results in a sort of 'live' system where the score updates as it went along I would have probably had a heart attack haha.
Superb series, neither team deserved to lose. Well played Pirates
