Re: Final standings predictions.
A very intersting start to the season! Three teams still remain ubeaten in regulation, and Calgary are one of them! For the most part, this is the best i have seen the Flames play for years. We could easily have won all five of our games with a little more composure in the third period.
I still expect us to be towards the bottom of the standings, but our future is looking a lot brighter.

I haven't watched all the Flames games but the ones I have seen bits of the Flames have looked surprisingly good. Trust the Flames to mess up failing eh?!
Re: Final standings predictions.
Yeah, but we don't want to end up like Edmonton!
I have you 20 minutes to spare, I recommend watching the 3rd period of last Fridays game against the Devils. That period sums up the best of the Flames so far this season. Every player was determined to get the win, and they were all throwing themselves at pucks to block shots. And then our rookies combining for the game winner!

Point in every game so far and goals in the last four. I hope we don't send him down after nine games.

Every year some team gets off to a flying start and the crumbles and ends up as a lottery contender! Its much harder to stay consistent in an 82 game season. It also means that whilst win streaks are good, they can be quite quickly negated by a bad stretch. Equally teams who start off badly still have 75 games roughly to turn it around! I fully expect the 'royvolution' to slow down and the Avs will slowly drop down the standings.
