Brian Elliott
I could wax lyrical about any of his achievements, this season. Like....
1. An NHL leading 9 shut outs - in only 34 starts
2. Franchise record 186+mins since conceeding a goal.
3. An NHL leading .943% save percentage
4. An NHL leading 1.48 GAA
5. With Halak - a franchise record of 15 shutouts this season
But, that would be predictable..
I just want to say - Brian Elliott - I LOVE YOU
and I don't mean a slight crush. If I could get a poster, I would pin it to the ceiling above my bed. Then he would be the last thing I saw at night, and the first thing in the morning
This is full on man love!

Re: Brian Elliott
He has been great this year and its great to see. For me he cant rival Quick or Lundqvist for the Vezina due to the games played but he has had a great season.
Also Driz , great to see the Blues having a great year and presuming it will be either the Rangers or Blues winning the Presidents Trophy , may the best team win

Corrected that for you there Marc
Joking aside, the Blues have been great since their coaching change and I hope they have a long playoff run!

Advantage you..or maybe the Nucks. 5-2-3 in our last ten, and play-off rivals Wings, Stars and Coyotes to come in our last 4. We are crawling over the line!

LOL i appreciate your last 4 aren't easy but the unique way the NHL like to do the schedule means the Rangers last 4 after the Habs tonight is Bruins (H) , Penguins (A) , Flyers (A) , Caps (H) although the Islanders beating the Ice Chickens last night certainly helped

Jonzee that broom is not sweeping. Therefore you are saying the Flyers broomed the Leafs. Anyway everyone knows you rake a Leaf!

Re: Brian Elliott
Top marks to Elliott (to drag this Leaf-bashing thread back on track) for a superb season. Also, I met him last October after the win in Philly, and he seemed a genuinely nice guy, even though my friends and I were getting roughly ejected from a St Louis casino...
It just goes to show, that with the right D setup, goalies can become superstars for their teams, and that just because you played for Ottawa, doesn't mean you have to continue to play shite once you've left.

Re: Brian Elliott
Ooh Driz, you've changed your tune
"10mins later and I am not a happy bunny. For some reason Doug Armstrong has felt it wise to sign Brian Elliott. I can't F****** believe it!!!!
How the hell he thinks that Elliott is better than Conkers is beyond me. How the hell he thinks he's better than Ben' The Beast ' Bishop, is even more beyond me.
Then we have Jake Allen. Last seasons top AHL netminder. He had the best GAA in the league and won the AHL Verzina trophy. How the hell is Elliott better than that!!!
What drugs are you on 'Army?????"

If its any consolation, I think I said on here that I was pleased when the Bruins signed Kaberle. Oh boy did that bubble burst quickly.

I thought it was a rare moment, as usually Jonzee's comments are regarding hatred of something or someone, and or the embracing of said hatred.
