Am I allowed to play?
I think the first rookie coach to win the Jack Adams award was Marc Crawford of the Quebec Nordiques in 1995.

Thats a tough one! I am guessing it wasn't someone too recent. Maybe someone like Bobby Orr? I am guessing here
Re: Resurrection of the great 606 Quizzes.....well kind of.
Correct - Not Recent, Homer but not the mighty number 4!

Errrrr maybe a goalie, someone like Dryden? am I even in the right era? lol
Re: Resurrection of the great 606 Quizzes.....well kind of.
I think you've got it Homer. Surley it has to be a goalie to come in as a rookie in the playoffs and get enough ice time to earn MVP.

Smythe then Calder.... I can't even begin to think who might be so unknown as to not be on a roster for the majority of the season then come in and steal a Stanley Cup.
All I could think was maybe Forsberg or Bure but then you hinted it was a long time ago... Maybe Hull, did he come across from the WHL mid season before the under 26 rule was brought in?

Haha that was a lucky guess! Mandys mum is a huge Dryden fan so told me all about him so thought it was a good shot
ok a question.... who is the only player to win both the Selke and Hart memorial trophies in the same season?

A cheeky double question. Who holds the record for the most fighting majors ina single season and who holds the record for the most fighting majors in a career?

Oooo, the list is endless...
Going with Tie Domi for most in a career, and possibly Mr NHL Discipline himself, Brendan Shanahan for most in a season?

Dave Schultz is always worth a guess for questions involving PIMs and fighting (I don't think it's him though)
As you can see I managed to get off the airbase without accidentally getting myself conscripted.

I didn't expect anyone to get these early... And they didn't. Valiant guesses, but wrong.

For the answer to most in a season
I'm sure I saw this a while ago, whilst I was doing some reading up to improve my all round hockey knowledge....
There is only one major problem...
I cant remember the name!!!!
I'm sure he played for the Nordiques in the early 80's and had 51 majors!!!

I think a contender has to be Torrie Robertson - i seem to think he got over 50 majors one year -didnt he also have the record for the most penalty mins ever amassed for the Whalers?
Im going to guess somebody like Craig Berube or Tiger Williams for the career record

Well done Welshy, it was Torrie Robertson, and well done Driz he had 51 fighting majors whilst playing for the Whalers (still defunct so the right ball park Driz) in the 1985-1986 season- a single season record!!
Tiger Williams has the most PIMS ever (I think) but not the most fighting majors in a career so that one is still up for grabs...

Hmmm! I'm stumped on the career one! If not Dave 'Tiger' Williams I would, like Leafy have said Domi as he seemed to me to spend a good deal of his ice time fighting (not to mention fighting with spectators lol!).

If not Domi, the only other thug, sorry enforcer, I would think of that spent a tasty amount of time doing the fisticuffs would be Marty McSorley.

Not McSorley either, tbh it is not a name I would have picked. I will give it till 5.30pm and if nobody has the answer I will reveal and Welshy can set a new Q since he got Torrie Robertson correct
