Indeed.....like I said I was looking for confirmation on the answer to a different question when I stumbled upon that gem. Hadn't heard about it before so wasn't sure if it was true or not but I could find no evidence to suggest it wasn't!

A Vancouver fan in my office told me about this just now and gave me the answer.

Pierce scored with seconds left in the 3rd. Took the puck off the Goalie, and kissed it. That was his infraction.

I think it was to do with interuppting the play, as the officials wanted to get the faceoff set up, and pierce was making out with the puck...
