Avs lose again, 10 in a row now
Now, previously I have hinted at an enjoyment in seeing Colorado failing so spectacularly in the final stretch to the playoffs.
However, it's now got to the stage where I feel sorry for their fans. How are you supposed to keep motivated on the ice, let alone as a fan?
The Avs are currently 0-9-1, and have conceded 42, and scored jut 14 in those 10 games. When you're dropping over 4 goals a game, and scoring just over 1 on average, there's something seriously wrong. You can even forgive the Avs for trading away Anderson, since his GAA was obviously poor, however it seems the issue is not the goalie, as proved by Anderson registering a shutout in his first game for the Senators.
How long do you think this losing streak will run?

In a purely selfish moment...at least passed tomorrow night
According to Andy Strickland, who blogs on The Blues website(and is suprising sensible). The Avs appear to have more problems off the ice, than on it. The fans are not showing up. Joe Sacco has lost the locker room. The current GM appears to be on the verge of being ousted. Ex player Patrick Roy apparently is trying to make a hostile take over of the franchise.
With all this happening, i'm not suprised that on ice results are suffering. It makes me wonder(synical old goat that I am) whether the current FO are screwing the franchise up, in order to make it impossible for anyone taking over!!!

I can only imagine what a Patrick Roy hostile takeover would be like!

But after claiming a takeover, he'll probably stand tall with his hand in the air...as someone steals the franchise from underneath behind him....
1 point from a possible 20 is utterly shocking. I mean, a bad start can be overcome, just like the Islanders and Devils seem to be showing. OK neither are going to be Eastern champs, but they're at least winning some games and putting points up on the board.
A bad finish can knacker your whole season, no matter how good the start was!

The Bruins had a ten game losing streak last season and it wasn't pleasant to watch.

The hockey gods have already written the script. The Blues will hammer the Hawks tonight, then lose 3-2 to the Avs tomorrow. A 3rd period winning goal from McClement with an assist from Johnson
