Free agency process Empty Free agency process

Post by mc_homer Mon Nov 29, 2010 8:32 am

Just to clear it up for you guys as the old process would have given me an unfair advantage in terms of that I will know all of the offers, I have decided to change how we will do free agency.

When you want to make an offer on a player email me first off. Assuming the offer is fair enough to sign then I will post on the forum the exact offer for everyone to see.

This will begin the usual 24 hour process where other GM's can make an offer if they would like. After 24 hours of the original offer the highest one will be signed.

If more than one offer is submitted before the post is first made then I will post all offers with most up to date as leading offer.

Free agency begins at midnight tonight, let bidding commence!

To keep things fair, if I receive any offers in the final hour then I will extend the time until player signs by another hour. This should prevent players being sniped in the final min.

Try and keep it fair people, if you have an eye on a player then get your offers in with good time please Smile

Haha yeah Simon mentioned it last night. I was gonna let it stay as ebaytastic but thought I can add an extra hour. Shouldn't extend it all too long lol

I should think that every bid adds an hour onto the end of the process?

One thing I forgot to add to this list. To prevent the silly 'bidding wars' of last few seasons, a new offer will only be accepted if it exceeds the previous offer by at least $100k. This is for offers based on the same length.
