A big win for the Caps, not so much standings wise because I don't see anyone catching them now but more in the case of getting one up for a likely playoff series over the team that ended their run last year.

Also another huge win for the Wings as they solidify their position in the playoffs. The West is looking almost set now with just the seed order to be determined.

The Avs win over the Kings cannot be underestimated also as a loss here would have dropped them to a tie for 8th place. Very important for them to have snapped their loosing streak quickly and against a very good Kings side.

The Habs managed to pick up what could prove to be an extremely valuable point as the season winds down.
