Canucks in turmoil

Rumours are rife in Vancouver that Canucks GM Azzy Luongo is still concerned with the lack of depth to his roster. It is believed that he will consider offers for the following players:

David Booth
Chris Drury
Jason Blake
Saku Koivu
Wayne Simmonds
Brenden Morrow
Dave Bolland
Justin Williams
Colin White
Chris Mason
Manny Fernandez

in an attempt to shake up the under-performing Canucks. Luongo is known to harbour a strong love of draft picks.

If you want depth, you should be trading away draft picks, not collecting them.

And just how will you manage to sign all these players that you draft?

Um, with the $10m cap space I have, and with some UFAs leaving at the end of the season...entry level contracts are cheap, remember?

Minus the cup win....as we all know that no team from Vancouver can win the playoffs.

Plus if the draft picks turn out to be any good after a few seasons you won't have enough cap space to keep them all...
