I wonder what Driz thinks to this! Personally, I think the Blues where totally robbed, but I'm sure Beef will disagree with me...

The Blues were rinsed a bit hard. Second rinsing the Buffalo GM has got away with recently.

I think the Blues need Ott more than they'll miss Stewart. Not sure about the draft picks though. Bit too much.

I dislike Steve Ott.

I dislike that fact he'll be playing in my conference.

I dislike playing against him regularly.

I dislike his stupid 3-letter surname.

I dislike his 'I'm a great team player' stupid face.

I dislike Steve Ott.

All depends on them draft picks for Buffalo. Either way if St Louis go deep with Miller, which is likely, they will see it as a win for them. There has to be something wrong with Halak no? That's two reams who have dumped him now despite good performances.

High price yes. Necessary gamble for a team on the edge of contending for a cup, absolutely. Do those pieces they give up help them win now? Not really. Do Miller and Ott improve them in the playoffs, I would say yes.

Have I finished answering my own questions....... maybe.

I think this is going to be one of those moves where we look back and think either

1) That was utter genius and the Blues went deep into the playoffs and are real cup contenders

OR

2) What an utter tool to disrupt a winning team and throw away the Blues chances.

I think they looked at is as having a good team last couple of seasons and both ended up losing at the hands of the Kings. Pick up a guy who can take the Kings off their game and an upgrade in net and they have a better chance.

Still could go either way. I will very much enjoy it if this causes the team to implode Smile
