In the Islanders defence, most of those goalies are either injured or refusing to turn up

1) How on earth was Eklund first to report this?

2) Good trade Bruins.

3) Boo this trade, I like it when they are up against the cap ceiling.

It makes sense for the Isles too. I read they needed to hit the salary floor by today so this trade is purely for cap hit. Thomas is still suspended so they do not have to pay him and if they do not re-sign him they give the Islanders nothing.

Of course this kind of cap circumvention could well lead to a Tim Thomas rule in the CBA
