Interest in Carter reaches epic proportions Empty Interest in Carter reaches epic proportions

Jeff Carter, number one centre for the MJ Giraffes has been the subject of numerous transfer rumours. As many as seven clubs have made enquiries for the star forward, and although no trade has been agreed, MJG management has refused to comment on his non-availability. According to Leafygiraffe, GM of Moose Jaw, 'Carter is a fantastic player and a great person to boot. Or skate. He leads our line with finesses and if he was to be traded, we would need a player of equal or greater stature to replace him, and there aren't many of those in the league.'

Rumours abound in Moose Jaw that a blockbuster trade for star centre Jeff 'Jazz Man' Carter was turned down. No names are being mentioned at this point, but allegedly the Giraffes almost came out of lockdown for the trade to be made, only for GM Leafy to stamp his authority on the managementski, and refuse any trade dealings. If this rumour is true, this places Carters importance to the MJG organisation on a par with franchise player and star LW Semin, captain Phaneuf and GM Leafy, and therefore will soon be locked into a long term NTC contract.
