3 Beefs make the all star game!
After what has been a largely successful season for the Beefs, 3 members of the team have been rewarded with a trip to the all star game. For the 3rd straight season the Beefs will have their starting goalie there except this year rookie netminder Howie Hole will be representing instead of Deslauriers. Joining Hole will be veteran wingers Dany Heatley and Marian Hossa.
Here are the stats for your Beefy all stars.
Dany Heatley (LW)
82GP, 35G, 67A, 102P, +30.
4th in the league for assists and 4th among all left wingers in point scoring. Also lead the Beefs in assists, +/- and points per 20 mins.
Marian Hossa (RW)
82GP, 39G, 41A, 80P, +18.
2nd in the league with 20 powerplay goals, also played with a physical edge putting up 122 hits.
Howie Hole (G)
68GP, 43-20-3, .904 sv%, 2.62 GAA, 3SO.
Rookie goalie started the year in the farm and ended up 2nd in the league for wins, 3rd for GAA and 7th for save percentage.

The conference lost 5-4 in OT but the 3 Beefs had very solid performances.
Heatley scored the teams 3rd goal putting team Buff ahead 3-0 in the first period while starter Howie Hole was the teams best goalie stopping 12 of 13 shots. Hossa then added an assist on Mike Greens goal towards the end of the 2nd but from then on it was all team Leafy as they came away with the win.
The team now begins to look forward to a new division and new challenges.
