It is true- the Rangers blasted past their way through the 8th and 7th seeded Senators and Capitals whilst the Kings have laboured aganist the 1st and 2nd seeded Canucks and Blues.

Re: Conference Finals
Pfff, claim a top 8 spot in your respective conference, and the post season is a freaking lottery.
I makes no difference if you finish 1st or 8th. Just make it to the post-season, and you've got as good a crack as anyone else.

The Sens and the Caps were in false positions especially the Caps , but it doesnt matter now does it ? its 1 of 4 and the best team there is the Rangers

Hitchcock was saying only the other day ' Givin up a freaky deflected goal in the 3rd overtime period of game seven, could have a detremental effect on the players....but only if they let it!'

Really? I think the Kings are better. And the bookies agree. LA have won once in five, and once in a sweep. The Rangers strugggled to 4-3 both times. The best part of the Kings is the front line, and they have score only three goals less than NY despite playing 5 games less. The best part of the Rangers is the goaltending, which has been put in the shade by Quick in Los Angeles (well actually away from LA but...)
And lets not forget that the Kings put out both the teams with a better record than NYR in the regular season....

And yes, there's no argument the Kings have been easily the most impressive i.e. best team in the play-offs so far. Still, there's always that question of mental resolve...

Re: Conference Finals
Two words, ladies and gents....Momentum and Belief. The Kings have both.
Whilst the likes of the Nucks, Blues and Rangers were 'seeing out' the end of the season, the Kings were already playing play-off hockey - just to reach them. They didn't have to try to raise their game again.
Now, having trashed the Nucks, Blues and seemingly the Yotes, they have the all important belief. They had nothing to lose and now they believe that they can't lose.
Just as Luton will prove on Sunday

Kinda reminds me of a certain NFL team I'm a fan of.

Why is that a shame for the Rangers? They have home ice throughout the playoffs meaning they would win the cup. Think before you post

Unless of course they loose the first game.
They have already been beaten four times on home ice, thats three more times then the kings have lost in the whole of the playoffs. The Rangers still have to beat the Devils, i wouldn't go getting ahead of yourself.

Re: Conference Finals
The Kings havent played a team as good as the Rangers yet. Im not even saying the Rangers will win the cup just saying the Rangers are the best team left.

Re: Conference Finals
No they have only beaten the number 1 & 2 seeds in the west and if they get past Phoenix you can add the 3rd seed to that. Obviously you forget the nucks finished with a better record then the Rangers, and the Blues had the same points total as the Rangers.
If were doing this, you could also say they havn't played against teams as bad as the sens, caps or devils...

Re: Conference Finals
Im not disputing who they have beaten at all but the Rangers are the strongest team in the playoffs left and i think the reason people on here won't admit thats true is because of the obvious Rangers hatred (jealousy) that goes on.

Re: Conference Finals
I don't have anything against the Rangers. I have a Brian Leetch doll in front of my living room TV. But I don't really care for your attitude, Marc - you've become worse than Azzy.
As it is, if it is a Kings v Rangers final I'll have to support the Rangers simply because I could never want the Kings to win...
