I am convinced that the word "celebrity" is derived from an Ancient Greek word meaning "douchebag who thinks he's cool just because he's wearing sunglasses".

But at least when I watch TMZ tonight, I will at least have heard of one of the so-called celebs. It's taken me four years to work out that the Kardashian sisters are not the alien bad guys from Star Trek, but are actually a bunch of reality TV nonentities who date a succession of MLB, NFL and NBA players.
