Badgers gearing up for cup run

The Bearded Badgers were today given a day off before they launch their run at the 606hl championship. Having won the first two games and then losing four straight against the hated beef, the players have a much stronger focus this year.

"Last year we were complacent. None of us knew what effort was needed to win a best of seven series. We got sloppy." Said team captain Rick Nash.

The Badgers have been criticized this season for a similar lack of commitment at times. With winless slumps in the middle of the season costing them the chance to retain the Queens trophy. However a solid end to the season, winning 9 of 11 secured a match up with the Shamrock, a team the Badgers have struggled against in the past.
Nash was asked how would they contain the Shamrock potent offence.

"we are a different team now, compared to the one that was beaten heavily in the season. We have an immense depth down the centre and one of the best defenses in the league! This is playoff hockey, anything can happen!

No Beefs to trip you up this time good luck! The Shamrocks will take some beating.
