Wow, the Mogliny conference was close! You have to feel for the Sharks. How did you split the teams?

I didnt, the sim did. I think the first tie breaker is wins but after that not too sure. I thought it was goals scored but it must be head to head record as Swansea would have goals scored. The Sim website isn't too helpful on that side of things unfortunately!

This year they do but that is new. That never existed in this build of the sim.

Maybe it was purely alphabetical. The GM should have chosen Aberystwyth instead of Swansea! lol!

Hmmm possible but I would be surprised if it was. I will test that theory out tonight as I still have the old files.

Gutted Sad I was so hoping for goals/goal difference.

Also my family are actually from Aberystwyth as well, so if it was alphabetical I will not be pleased

If it is alphabetical and I can change anything on it then I will as alphabetical is stupid. If so then I will roll back and re-do the playoffs with a fair tie breaker.

It looks like the first tiebreaker is wins, as otherwise myself and McBuck wouldn't be second and third. The other tiebreaker must be performance vs, as otherwise the Rex would be out having a worse goals scored and goal difference, but a 5-3 win rate over Swansea. Or the alphabetical gibber, but then the Rex would be 2nd, McB 3rd and MJG 4th. You do have to feel for the Sharks though... it was defo squeaky bum time

I think it is wins and then vs record like Leafy said. I will change your teams name and 'end the season' again to see if the order changes. If it does then it shows it is alphabetical so I will look at what I can do but if not then I think it is safe to assume it is vs record.

it was epicly close in the moginly conference, would of been awsome to have the Cherrypickers/sharks rivalry in the play-offs.

i just hope my cherrypickers do not do what most scottish teams and go out in the first round .........

Right so apparently I backed up all the old files except the league save files go me!

Anyways I checked out pre season standings and it can't be alphabetical.

4. Iowa Chops 5-3-0 10pts 27 goals for 23 goals against
5. Chatham Victory 5-3-0 10pts 25 goals for 21 goals against

There was no head to head matchup as games were among division so the tie breaker must be.

1. Wins
2. Season series
3. Goals scored

I believe the league uses the NHL tie breakers from 2009, can anyone remember what they were?
