Waivers procedure Empty Waivers procedure

Post by Azzy Luongo Fri Dec 31, 2010 9:06 am

I'm considering tinkering with my line-up (yes, I still suck Razz ), but realise I really ought not to do that until I know what the waiver procedures are.

Homer, could you please provide us with a comprehensive checklist for waivers? Ie:

1. Is the player over 25? Yes = must clear waivers, No = go to step 2.

2. Has the player played x amount of games this season? Yes = must clear waivers, No = go to step 3.

Etc. Ta Very Happy

Hey, I don't think you guys really need to worry about it whatever the rules are...none of the other GMs would want anyone on your rosters let alone your rejects! Razz Wink

Basically if a player is under 25 they are exempt from waivers regardless.

If a player is 25 and over then if they have played fewer than 10 pro games then they are exempt.

If a player is 25 and over and has appeared in more than 10 pro games then they must clear waivers to be sent up/down.

There is no paying half of a salary on re-entry waivers like in the NHL in case anyone was wondering it is all or nothing.

Apologies for the necro-thread but wanted to make sure, I assume the 10 pro games limit is per season only or is it all time for your team?

Not sure. I can confirm that once we start the season! As soon as the schedule is in place I will be able to test it before the season starts.

Obviously you can do whatever you like in the off-season, as in the NHL? And when pre-season starts, waivers kick in?

I would have thought waviers would kick in the season proper and not pre-season. At least on the xbox game waviers start like the week before the regular season.

Yep preseason you can move players freely. If waivers give a problem when we are running pre season I will simply turn them off until regular season.

Just to point out that I tested waivers for regular season and it allowed free movement of players to begin with so the 10 game point is a per season number.

I've only just noticed my trade for Todd Marchant finally went through, however I have also just realised the potential waivers issues. With that in mind does the 10 pro game limit apply to all teams that season, or just the team he currently plays for?

I have a feeling that 'egg' and 'my face' may be in alignment pale

Unfortunately it applies to all teams so if the guy was on the pro he would still need to pass waivers to be sent down.
