Crunch Draft Day Coverage
The Crunch GM Marc Twinberrow knew exactly what he wanted out of todays draft , another RW to keep Corey Perry on his toes. The Crunch apparrently had a trade in principal with the Rex but GM Jones pulled the plug as soon as Evander Kane was selected. The Crunch then used their #3 overall draft pick to select highly rated goalie Jack Campbell. The Crunch then traded with the Ducks ( an old trading friend of the Blueshirts) which saw Pavel Datsyuk and Dustin Boyd leave New York but saw the #23 pick arrive as well as Right Wing sensation Martin Havlat and Defensive minded forward Andrew Ebbett. The Crunch then used the #23 Pick to select Vladimir Tarasenko a sniper out of the KHL , Tarasenko could be a huge asset if the Crunch can keep him in New York City.

Crunch trade for old Blueshirts 'C'
The New York City Crunch today announced a trade with the St Louis Spirit. The trade saw the first alternate captain of the Crunch Pavel Kubina sent West in exchange for former captain Marc Savard. A first round pick was also sent to the Crunch which could be a valuable acquisition at the end of the season. "Our main aim is to get James (Neal) scoring again , i think the experience from Marc can help bring the goals that James brought to us last year back this year" GM Twinberrow said earlier today. It has also been confirmed that overall defencemen Paul Mara will be moved up from the farm in order to replace Kubina, 4th line centre Blair Betts will be moved to the Bilo's so the Crunch are under the salary cap.
