What should the cap be set at?
League cap
There has already been some conversation about this as we have changed to a 20 team league however a decision needs to be made. Please select from the following figures that you feel would be best for the league. Remember, too high a cap and contracts may get out of hand but too low a cap and we could end up being completely hand tied in terms of being able to make trades. I do feel the cap should be increased from the NHL cap as the higher paid players will not be as far spread apart.
Here are the ideas.
$56.8m - Current NHL cap
$68.2m - Current cap + 1x maximum individual contract
$74.9m - Current league spendature divided among 20 teams
$85.2m - Same league total divided by fewer teams

Re: League cap
How are we working out the cap of each player? Are we using the numbers from nhlnumbers.com? Just asking as I am trying to work out a team and think I've got something fairly settled (until you nasty types steal who I want before me in the draft) that fits under the $68 million, but if thesalary cap numbers change I could be screwed.....

The individual salaries will be as per http://www.capgeek.com/ as this has a much easier to use search tool for individuals.
Re: League cap
The rest of my team can be paid in crisps, cause Dan Carcillo will be on superstar wages.
