A rather late end of season review
A successful opening season for the Swansea Sharks came to an end not long ago, and despite the ineptitude of new GM Gwilym Williams the franchise didn’t throw away its place in the play-offs. The Sharks found themselves in 4th place in the Conference with 92 points after going 42-32-8 in the season with a string of defeats in the last few games leaving Sharks fans with a heart-in-mouth finish. The Whales had quite the opposite end to their season with an impressive 13 win streak which cemented their place in the Farm play-offs.
The franchise remained relatively inactive trade-wise throughout the season, but did pick up Cameron Barker and Teemu Selanne towards the end under the new GM's policy of “if it ain't broke, break it.”
The play-offs are already well under way, but with any luck the Sharks can pull off an unlikely victory in the first round and the Whales can continue their run. Maybe miracles can happen, but I doubt it.
