Trades???

Seven weeks today we hit the trade deadline in the NHL but, with the added distraction of around 150 players spending two weeks away in Sochi (returning one week before the deadline), some teams may want to get deals done before hand.

Who do you want your team to pursue? Who do want your team to dump? Is it too early for this thread?

Been reading the Habs section on HFBoards. A few like Ladd, Byfuglien and Kyle Clifford.

I don't know what to do with the Leafs

Im not expecting much. Were doing a decent job of chasing that 1st overall pick. If we can get rid of Burke i would be happy.

I would like to trade January 2014 for December 2013 please.

Sergei Gonchar (maybe)
Shawn Horcoff (maybe)

All the above will likely be on the block unless this run turns around fast. Gonchar and Horcoff might not be possible to move thanks to their salaries but I wouldn't be surprised to see any of the vets moved.

In return they will likely be looking for help on D or for picks most likely.

Edit: The above was what I think will happen not what I necessarily want to happen. I would however like to see most of the above happen but would like to see us make an aggressive move to pick up a top end D-man even if it costs some of our top prospects.

I saw some suggestions from Preds fans that the Stars and Preds should swap Val Nichushkin and Seth Jones. I don't know what to think about that. I really love Nichushkin but Seth Jones was the only player in that draft I wanted ahead of him..... gah I wouldn't be upset if that happened.

I would jump on the rumours of ladd to Pittsburgh. I would be very happy with that indeed. I think Orpik will be shopped around as we have so much defense in the prospect pool. All of whom have shown potential this season!

I'd like to trade some inconsistency for some consistency.

Now that Seidenberg is done for the season, can we have another D-man please. I like what we've got, but I just think we need a bit more experience. If Chara gets injured, we're screwed. Failing that, can someone put a notice in Krug's locker that reads "you only pass the puck to a guy wearing the same jersey as yourself"?

Couple of "suggestions" with Gallagher in a package for Evander Kane shakes my faith in a few Habs fans. Who in their right mind trades away Gallagher???

I'd like to see Quincey traded for a bag of bandages and plasters.

I'm trying to be sort of neutral but do slightly favour the Habs.
