Poll results
Ok so the result of the polls for the changes to the sim are as follows.
Players from the deleted teams will also be deleted and reincarnated in an upcoming draft.
We will be starting from scratch with 4 completely new divisions created with the leagues unique random number generator.
Now the last one is a difficult one. The vote result for cap hit was done on the assumption we were spreading the existing players out so with players being put into the draft the increase in cap hit is not really needed. The result of the poll was to add current cap to one additional max value contract. Unless anyone can argue valid points to keep this increase I think we should keep the cap at the same level it is now. We can always readdress this in the future if the rise of more and more superstar type players causes too many teams to be hitting the limit. For now I think increasing the cap would have the same benefit as getting rid of it entirely in that it doesn't need any effort from teams to stay beneath it.
I hope to be doing the all star game on Friday so please get in your votes and over the weekend I will hopefully get some plan together for the off season.

Re: Poll results
Good work beef.
I agree the Cap doesn't need to change yet. Even with fewer teams, next season shouldn't be any different to this one as far as the cap is concerned.

Re: Poll results
Agreed and the reason for that poll in the first place was that I hadn't even considered putting them in the draft at that stage. We also have to consider that with fewer teams we will likely have fewer games (TBC) and as a result lower income so spending higher probably isn't a good idea until we can balance teams finances. Whatever we do will need to be readdressed next off season anyway.
Re: Poll results
Sounds good to me.
On the number of games a couple of suggestions.....
Option 1
6x games against same division teams (4) = 24 games
4x games against same conference teams (4) = 16 games
2x games against other conference teams (8 ) = 16 games
Total season games = 56
Option 2
8x games against same division teams (4) = 32 games
4x games against same conference teams (4) = 16 games
2x games against other conference teams (8 ) = 16 games
Total season games = 64
Option 3
8x games against same division teams (4) = 32 games
6x games against same conference teams (4) = 24 games
2x games against other conference teams (8 ) = 16 games
Total season games = 72
Option 4
8x games against same division teams (4) = 32 games
6x games against same conference teams (4) = 24 games
4x games against other conference teams (8 ) = 32 games
Total season games = 88

Re: Poll results
I quite like option 4...as we have no NHL, the more games the merrier...also the extra income could be very beneficial

Re: Poll results
Soon Buff just need to come up with some names as I think we should change them to go with the new layout.

Hahaha. No. I don't want to be in either of those conferences due to the shame. The shame.

I was wondering how long until this became a suggestion!
Re: Poll results
Conferences: Nando & KFC.
Then the divisions could be condiments/sauces.
Nandos > Peri Peri & Prego
KFC > Gravy & Zinger

Nandos > Peri Peri & Prego
KFC > Gravy & Zinger
I think we have our winner!
Re: Poll results
I am ashamed and appalled at the new division names its quite simply disgraceful that we have stooped this low.
!Disclaimer: My opinion on the matter may be based on the fact that Nandos is more than an hour away and this is a constant reminder of that fact.

Nandos is also an hour away from me so this is one way of bringing it closer. It is a good thing.

Re: Poll results
... and this is why you were both placed in the KFC and not the Nandos conference. Infidels.
