Longest game ever?
The Beefs and Shamrocks played the first game of their 2nd round series the other night and what a game it was. The Beefs jumped out to a 2 goal lead by the end of the 1st on goals from Krejci and Eriksson before Petersen increased that lead to 3 by the end of the 2nd. The Shamrocks would not be denied however as they stormed back in the 3rd with Weiss, Seguin and Zajac tying the game going into OT. From then on it was a goalie battle with Hole and Wedgewood going toe to toe through almost an entire 2nd game worth of time before Marian Gaborik completed the come back at 17.36 of the 3rd OT period.
The Beefs will need to figure out how to close out the Shamrocks and fast as although this game was close, the Beefs have not beaten the Shamrocks since last season and over the last 2 years have an appalling 2-7-3 record against them with neither win coming in regulation time.
The Baby Beefs however exploded after being frustrated by the Zombies in round 1 as they destroyed the rival Banshees 5-0 in game 1. The shots were even but Kipper got the shutout while 5 different players put the puck in the net for the Baby Beefs showing they are dangerous from anywhere. With the Brian Dinosaurs winning their game 1 fairly easily could we see a repeat of the season 3 final? Although the Dinosaurs have been relocated and renamed since then the Baby Beefs would love a shot at redemption for that loss. But first they cannot take the Banshees lightly as they will no doubt rebound with a strong effort in game 2.

I bloody hope so.
Re: Longest game ever?
Amazingly in the stats for the game "Unknown Player" has a +/- of -6 in a 5-0 loss.
Re: Longest game ever?
Outshot you guys 45-22 but lost 4-2 Damn Howard. And yet another OT loss for the Beefs. I don't want to make big changes because the games are so damn close but something needs to happen!
