As the season ends there are 5 teams in the hunt for the remaining 3 play-off spots. These 5 teams still have 5 games to play against another. These games will be crucial in deciding who qualifies for the post-season. They are:

790 Victory @ Buttercups
798 Badgers @ Phoenix
806 Beefs @ Buttercups
812 Beefs @ Badgers

The Beefs, Buttercups, Badgers, Phoenix and Victory know that a points total of 105 or more will guarantee them a place in the play-offs. This total will fall as the games proceed and most experts expect the 4th seed to finish with about 102 points. The maximum number of points the teams can finish with is as follows:

Crazy game between Badgers and Victory last night! Rumours that Jack Johnson ate the refs inter period Nandos led to him being ejected are not confirmed at this point!

I am really confused why Jose Theodore was a healthy scratch against the Phoenix and Badgers. He records a shut out then magically absconds? Sneaky suspicionings. I will put him back in tonight and he magically disappears again I will have the commissioners head!!

Theodore failed to provide his Nando tax so was denied his hockey license.

Dammit. The renewal notice only came through the post today

This is going to be one tight finish!

3 games to go (5 for the Victory) and 4 of the 5 Brind'Amour division teams still fighting out for 3 playoff spots (and the division title).

6. Phoenix Club 95 pts (only 2 games to go)

The Beefs can guarantee the division title with a win and with games against the Buttercups and Badgers still to come could play a big hand in who is on the outside looking in come playoff time.

Could we see a 3 way tie for 2 playoff spots? It is possible!

Probably be much much clearer after tonight as Buttercups and Victory face off against one another and the Badgers and Phoenix also.
After this the Badgers and Phoenix only have one game remaining. The Buttercups two and the Victory four.
The Beefs have to play both the Buttercups and the Badgers so pretty much determine if they or the Victory make it in or not!

So how much Nandos are you gonna send my way Mr Buff?

As for the tie-breakers....I cannot remember exactly! I think wins is the first one (after win% anyways) then it may be goals scored. We had this a couple of seasons ago trying to work out how it decided it but I cannot remember what we found out!

I may need to pay a visit to the STHS forum again to find out what it is haha!

Seems my goalies took the game off against Buttercups outshot them 45-28 and scored 4 goals yet still lost.....
