In last nights draft the Brewers held 14 picks after trades which included giving away both the 2nd and 3rd overall picks. Management are happy that most of the most pressing needs that could be drafted were, and the rest of the rebuilding process can be made via trades or free agency.
The Brewers inaugural, fifth overall, draft class went is as follows;
Round 1, pick 12 (12) - LW Lenford Leonard
Round 1, pick 19 (19) - C Hans Brix
Round 2, pick 3 (23) - C Fernando Suarez
Round 2, pick 11 (31) - D Morgan Rielly
Round 2, pick 16 (36) - D Michael Matheson
Round 2, pick 18 (38) - RW Teemu Calder
Round 3, pick 3 (43) - LW Juan Sheet
Round 3, pick 13 (53) - RW Carl E Simon
Round 4, pick 1 (61) - LW Jonathan Hull
Round 4, pick 3 (63) - G Gay Barr
Round 4, pick 12 (72) - D Slater Koekkoek
Round 4, pick 14 (74) - C Zemgus Girgensons
