Look at me....two in a row!

Anyway on with the show. So two of those huge Western conference battles I listed yesterday went to OT (as is so often the case) meaning the battle is still just as tight as before just a bit of reshuffling. The Stars keep hold of 3rd while the Kings take 8th from the Coyotes and the Avs move up to 7th.

• I will start off with some highlights and how about this for a game/season saving save!

• Smith made a few beauty saves of his own last night too including this flat out robbery on Eriksson.

• It was a milestone night for a few players as Kovalchuk and Malkin scored their 400th and 200th goals respectively and Hossa added his 900th point. On a side note, with the way they are playing will anyone be able to stop the Pens?

• Doan could be seeing a suspension for this on Jamie Benn (yes I was rather angry!)

• They may have lost but they did score one of the prettier passing plays of the night as Boyle finishes off a tick tack toe play.

• Whats that? The Penguins can also do pretty passing plays? Well of course they can.

• Graham James receives 2 years for sexual abuse of a number of players including former NHL star Theo Fleury. Many people are outraged he didn't get more.

• Bernier threatened with legal action for the use of the word Hollywood.....

• Gomez expects to be bought out and is eyeing a return to the Devils apparently.

• Not sure if any of you have heard of Steve Dangle before but he is a Leafs fan who does reaction videos after every game. He sums up the feeling around the Leafs pretty well and is a funny guy. Here is his reaction to last nights loss to the Islanders.

After our longest winning streak of the season, the Flames have gone and lost to the Oilers, Blue Jackets and Avs... Looks like they will also be hitting the Daily Links soon...

That was a big game to lose last night too! The parity is cool and everything but it does give you the feeling that you are aging a lot faster than you should right?

I just wish that if we are going to blow it, we do it properly. We keep getting to OT and getting a point, which may turn out to be usefull, but if we miss the playoffs... Argghhh!

we have dominated Colorado and Edmonton for years, and when we really need the points we loose.

Still i suppose its better than the posibility of going from 3rd to missing the playoffs on the last day of the season

NO NO NO NO NO last season was painful enough, if this happens I will prob be drinking more than my whiskey

Our backup backup goalie will be in against the Rangers. Just hope he doesn't get injured too!
