Hedman unhappy, requests to leave

Victor Hedman has rocked the Giraffes by demanding a trade. Unhappy at being left on the farm while Taylor Hall is taking the plaudits in the rookie race, Hedman requested top six line minutes on the big team. When Leafy was unable to accomodate Hedmans request, he demanded a trade to a team where he will see top team action, and playoff action - something else Leafy could not offer him. Hedman was also unhappy at being refused a trade to a playoff chasing team.

It is unsure what the Giraffes will seek in exchange for the young defenceman, but the fifth overall pick at Year 2's draft will surely be in demand, and the Giraffes will seek to get in exchange a good prize.
