Victory left red faced after season opener

Chatham Victory supremo BuffonIdol was left fuming last night after his team opened its season with a shut-out loss on home ice.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better opening fixture, at home against one of the weaker teams in the league.” Referring to the Watford Capitals who finished last in the Federov conference last season.

“Sometimes a goalie is in the zone and that’s life. Neuvirth played well for his shut-out [36 saves] but to not convert even one of nine opportunities with the extra man is just unbelievable.”

The Chatham Victory now have an entire week until their next game, at home to the Kings cup finalists Boston Shamrocks. Buff has reportedly ordered that the players be locked into the practise rink.

Surely Colonel you mean 'leaving the legion'...far more appropriate

I say this because as far as I'm aware, the only club now open in ***ford is the Darby and Joan club on the ring road
