Re: NHL 12 demo
that is a real shame, as of yet i have had no problems with the game.
Apart from a few gripes on be a pro mode. When my 'team mates' keep skating into my ice which i presume is an attempt to get the old flying V going. And for most of my shift watching the d-men needlessly throwing the puck behind my own net to one another waiting on a turnover.
That said I do think it is an improvement on last years (my wrist shot accuracy needs to be vastly improved) just need to see what they have done on GM mode

Re: NHL 12 demo
Ronnie, i have it on PS3 aswell and it has a habbit of crashing at the end of the 1st period. For some reason it seems to get stuck loading the menu. Hopefully there will be an update soon that fixes these problems.
I also find it takes forever to load game saves.
I do love how my player always skates off to the bench when i decide to skate into the slot and have my head taken off by the D...

It appears XBOX is fine and PS3 is crap. Bizarre.

Take a look on the internet, Azzy - regardless of platform, age or spec people are having freezing problems.

Re: NHL 12 demo
The Canucks.com messageboards are full of PS3 moaners - I'm yet to see one XBOX user complain about any issues of any kind. I've played 32 games of BAP, I think 17 BAGM games and about 4 HUT games, and it works perfectly. If there are XBOX issues, then me and the several thousand Nucks fans I hang out with are lucky

There's a 27 page stickied thread (and counting) on the EA forum - plenty of X-boxers moaning on there. And I have to say I played the game for 2 days and played 20 + games without any freezing! If it doesn't affect you then fair enough...but it's clearly a major balls up by EA....

It wouldn't be an EA game if there wasn't some kind of cock up! I'm pretty sure there is another glitch which allows Homer to win pretty much every game he plays.
I haven't experienced any freezing yet but I have only played one or two games in each mode so far. Fingers crossed it will stay ok...

Hey I lost a shootout game to Marc
Re: NHL 12 demo
NHL 12 on-line....can someone tell me why every player has the puck control of Datsyuk? Older versions played better. Those EA guys must watch hockey whilst high on crack...

I had nightmares everytime Getzlaf got the puck! Poke checks, stick lifts, and he just skated past it all as if nothing happened!
I really need to work on my shooting And what the hell happened with that penalty shot?

Well that's true to life though...Getzy is a beast!
As for the Ryan penalty shot....I...er...think I ran out time? Tip: don't go to the pause menu on a penalty shot!
I don't mind poke checks and stick lifts not being quite so effective but players can't simply swan about over the ice executing tight turns and being bumped about whilst the puck is glued to their stick. It reminded me a playing old footie games on the Commodore 64!

I don't play online AT ALL - the games is completely different, and people don't play within the spirit of the game. A complete waste of time and precious life.

You mean you get beat all the time?
If you play a lot off-line after a while the AI becomes very predictable. Playing on-line and you'll never get tired of the various playing styles that people have developed. It really highlights your weaknesses too. I don't get what you mean by not playing in the "spirit"? The idea is to put the puck in the net and stop your opponent doing the same. However it's done is fine by me. I was playing on Superstar level offline on NHL 11 but you can find far more challenging human opponents on-line...

Re: NHL 12 demo
I dont mind playing people I know online, me and homer seem to have some pretty good games.
I understand where Azzy is coming from, when you get players who either abuse known glitches or just spam the stick lift button it gets highly frustrating. I understand that a win is a win, but at the end of the day I buy these games to have fun, not end up throwing my controller at the TV!

Exactly. I can't remember a game without glitches being abused, or constant fights, or pausing while in possession, or various other non-sporting behaviour. Far too many people cheat to make it worthwhile.

Still can't believe you nearly came back from 7-2 down.....

What are the glitch goals? I know people go on about them but I don't know what they are. I've played well over a 100 games on-line and I've never had people constantly doing the same goal over and over and over.
My only point about poor on-line etiquette are people who don't finish games. Why someone would play a whole game bar the last 20 seconds is beyond me...

There have always been goals that can be scored that exploit the game. I remember the curve shot of NHL09 i think it was, then there was the unbeatable backhand short side goal of last year. I think they occur when there is a loophole in the games code and the goalie for some reason is unable to stop them.

People who quit when they go 2-0 down really annoy me, yes you get a 3-0 win but I just don't see the point in playing if you are going to give up. I have lost so many games online but I'll always finish the game.
