Smyth would rather play for the Oilers than the Kings

Are we about to see another Heatley type scenario? Seems a bit silly to announce something like that so openly. I would be surprised if the Oilers were really that keen on bringing Smyth back. He is 35 and with all the focus on their young draft picks would it really be worth bringing back an old piece of their history? Yes he could help develop the kids and yes there is a bit of the emotional ties pulling for it but surely their efforts are better spent developing what they have rather than giving some of it up for sentimental value.
