Mason Raymond out for 6 months to a disgusting late hit that was far worse than Rome on Horton. Thank you Boston for giving us extra incentive to win tomorrow.

Eh? What game were you watching? Not a late hit at all. You could tell that from everyone's reactions.

To me the borderline hits, trash talking, pure hatred towards one another is half of what makes a playoff series entertaining. Does everyone remember the Wings/Avs rivalry and look fondly back on those series because of close games or high scoring battles or even 2 great goalies going head to head....no they remember that series because of Claude Lemiuex trying to remove Draper from his face and the mayhem and hatred that created between the teams. It has taken many a year for that intensity to die down and although this series isn't on the same level as that I bet you these two will have long memories when it comes to the events of the past couple of weeks.
I have not been fully into this playoffs after the pain of how we missed it but this final has really grabbed my attention and I am enjoying it an awful lot more than last years final. In fact I think this has been the final I have enjoyed most since the Tampa/Calgary final pre-lockout.
One thing....I am very glad game 7 is in Vancouver because if it was in Boston you might as well hand the cup over now. In Vancouver the games have been so close anything can happen. Also I dislike Boston a lot so would prefer the Canucks to win it however I would love to see Thomas win it as I don't think there is a single person on either team who deserves it more than he. If he doesn't win the Conn Smythe regardless of who wins the cup then there is something very wrong in my eyes.
Thank you Beef for articulating my exact thoughts better than I ever could. Except I want Boston to win the lot, not just because of Timmy T but Mr Recchi too!

Fair enough, I think we all enjoy different things from this wonderful sport. Aside from half the games being non-contested I personally find the constant pushing, shoving and facewashes that ensue after every whistle a little tiring - its a common enough in hockey I know but I normally find it nothing more than posturing. Now a proper fight I do enjoy...but unless I've missed stuff because I've been watching the games on demand I can only recall about one fight in this series?

It was the board's fault. It should have received a minor penalty for....well...for boarding I guess.

I'm not talking about the face washing so much. It is more the edge of your seat physicality during play that can only be fuelled by that hatred that only a 7 game series can generate. It is what separates playoff hockey from the regular season and exactly why winning lord stanleys cup means so much more than the presidents trophy.
Re: Tonight: Game Four
I've been quite taken aback by how quickly the hatred has built up. And I'm just praying that Julien and the rest of the Bruins can keep Brad Marchand in check. He's a chippy little bugger and has been asking for trouble for the entire series.
He was asked why he did this, and replied "I just felt like it".
